Book Week—Books light up our world As part of the upcoming Book Week, 24th to 28th August, the Library will be once again running our very special promotion, ‘Surprise Reads.’ ‘Surprise Reads’ encourages children to read from a larger range and possibly pick up some books they haven’t, or possibly wouldn’t normally choose. We will be covering many of the library books in plain brown paper and we will be asking children to come into the library and borrow a book from the surprise read pile. Children are asked to write a review of that book. Gift vouchers for next Book Fair will be given away for the best reviews written on their surprise read, one voucher for each Year level. To prepare for this fantastic week the Library reminds children that to be part of the ‘Surprise Read’ they must not have any books overdue. So start sorting out any overdues now so that you are ready to start when the Surprise Reads are offered. Come and have a lucky dip and see what you get to read!!!!
