Piccabeen Canteen
Hours and procedures 
The Piccabeen Canteen is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:15 am until 1:50 pm.
Breakfast options are also available from 8.15 am and include fruit, smoothies, muffins, hash browns, and croissants. Pancakes are a tasty highlight on Thursday mornings. Tea and coffee are also available for parents to purchase.
First break is at
11:30 am. During play time, between 11 am-11:15 am students can purchase extra items over the counter from the
tuckshop with cash.
Second break is at
1:15 pm. Between 1:15 pm-1:30 pm students can purchase extra items over the counter from the tuckshop with cash.
Orders must be placed by 9 am
in a paper bag handed to the tuckshop or via FlexiSchools. FlexiSchools orders must be placed by 8:15 am.
Menu
Our menu has been
designed to meet the requirements outlined in the Smart Choices – Healthy Food
and Drink Supply Strategy for QLD schools. We prepare a range of healthy meals on-site using fresh ingredients from our
school edible garden and local producers.

Staffing and volunteers
Our tuckshop is operated by the
P&C Association and all profits go directly back to the school. The
tuckshop convenor is employed part-time to run the tuckshop. We are committed
to serving healthy school approved foods.
Volunteers are always needed to help at the
tuckshop. If you can help for a couple of hours, please call the school on 5453 2444 and ask to speak with Sam or Ronnee (tuckshop convenors).
