Piccabeen Canteen
Hours and procedure 
The Piccabeen Canteen is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8am until 1.35pm.
First break is at
10:50am. Between 11am-11:25am students can purchase extra items from the
tuckshop.
Second break is at
1pm. Between 1:10pm-1:35pm students can purchase extra items from the tuckshop.
Orders must be placed by 8.40am
in a paper bag handed to the tuckshop or via FlexiSchools.
To place orders, you
can provide your own bag or purchase paper bags at the tuckshop.
If ordering both
breaks, 2 bags are required as the food is sent to your child in the bags.
Menu
Our menu has been
designed to meet the requirements outlined in the Smart Choices – Healthy Food
and Drink Supply Strategy for QLD schools. We prepare a range of healthy meals on-site using fresh ingredients from our
school edible garden and local producers.

Breakfast
Students can purchase seasonal
fresh fruit, drinks, scrolls, hard boiled eggs etc. before school. Parents are
able to buy a coffee & slice to go.
Staffing and volunteers
Our tuckshop is operated by the
P&C Association and all profits go directly back to the school. The
tuckshop convenor is employed part-time to run the tuckshop. We are committed
to serving healthy school approved foods.
Volunteers are always needed to help at the
tuckshop. If you can help for a couple of hours, please call the school on 5453 2444 and ask to speak with Sam (tuckshop convenor).
